Annoyances with current Mv6 (ignoring the knackered shocks&wishbones, constant scraping of mud flaps and exhaust, )
it lacks the useful cubby hole shelving that the elite had in the boot.
the centre console cubby hole is tiny, all it will hold is my glasses.
the window controls are totally in the wrong place... they do not fall under hand easily... i have to move my arm backwards and twist my wrist to operate the drivers door window.
it does seem to mist up more than my last one.... scuttle cleared, and so on... but still does it.
the stereo has less functionality, and takes up twice the space....
Elite had phone, cassette, CD, radio, & Sat Nav, and you could connect an ipod via the tape player...
MV6 , no tape player, so no iPod, and no phone....
and if i get a telematics.... bingo.... no glovebox....
the older arrangement definitely wins on a practicality basis.
and let's face it , the interior trim in general on the facelift lacks the "class" the MFL had....
acres of hard plastic VS leather ..... Hmmm... difficult choice.... NOT....
i would be sorely tempted to replace most of a facelift interior with a pre-facelift.... (assuming it would fit)
(oh, and Senators ROCK! but a well Sorted Senny A, was far nimbler and more "chuckable" than a Senny B.... for energetic A-B road driving... but the B was smoother, and more stable at Very High Speed.... i covered a LOT of miles in both versions ..... and would love to still do so.... )
