Del Boy it is all down to personal choice. Some cars look good in white.
Personally I would worry about resale in a few years as I believe white cars are a current trend and when the interest wanes the prices may drop more than usual.
Fantastic car though, I am a little bit envious.

Just be careful if it gets slippery as they are absolute shite as a 4x4 ;)

they say the new ones are better in this respect although wide road tyres will obviously limit any serious off road work

Thanks mate :) they've said that it should be delivered December 20th, it needs to be though as BMW has said if it isn't I'll have to pay the higher rate of VAT and that isn't going to happen :o

The only problem is Dell - you will have to move across the bridge into Essex. I think its a legal requirement to live here if you own a white X5. :y

Another car i really like. Is it a 4.0? or a higer bhp version of the standard 3.0d twin turbo?

It's the 3.0 twin turbo diesel, but with 306 BHP as opposed to the 286. Mind you the new 535d has 296 bhp too.

some facts,

Bimmers including X5 always keeps its value..

Their 4x4 mechanisms are mostly designed for city driving, so dont force them on hills..(I mean off road)

Parts and repairs will lighten even the heaviest wallet ;D
