decent spec S types can be bought for less than £2000

When I first saw them I really liked, although I still do, I have not read good reviews.
What happened to your mg

i think although i await to be corrected  the kv6 engine was a bit ropey on the 800s but was revised for the 75  not sure about the diesels but my uncle has a 2003 75 cdti which has done 350k on the same engine and still runs like new  although maybe he is just lucky ;D ;D

I am not sure where you get that number from :-/ However I had a Rover 827 auto, was a Honda engine and it was by far, the best car I have ever owned and that was a 1989 car. I never spent a penny over normal costs, was far quicker than any Omega and totally reliable, only problem was front wheel drive and could 'torque' steer... :D :D

I also bought a Rover 800 2.0L, manual, what a pile of ...... ::) ::) ::)

Now that has got me thinking ::) ::)  We had a V6 Mitsubishi Galant, fast and furious and little expense, again front wheel drive, but some fun... :y

Remind me, Rover V6 and Mitsubishi V6 cheaper and more reliable, why do we drive Omegas.....?????? ::) ::) ::)

Yeah mine too !! Mine had the cream cloth interior though not the dark one

Headgasket done just before we bought it and it proved to be a comfortable relaxing and reliable car

Cheap as chips these days too
