and where do you put the stuff that would otherwise go in the boot?  ::) ::)

Do you really drive around with the boot full front to back all day every day? :-? :-? ::) ::)

No, but I don't use the Omega everyday, when we do use it, as a tow car, the boot is full. I'd prefer stuff in the boot rather than on the back seat etc.  ;) ;)
I was planning on LPG'ing the MV6 6 or 7 years ago ('professional' 2k install), but it was that very reason of loss of boot space that stopped me.  It was last year when it dawned on me, for those 2 or 3 times a year I actually need the full boot, just get a pikey roofbox.

Despite only being done a year, the MV6 has more than paid for its conversion.

And with TBE you didn't hesitate! :y :y

TBH, like you say, for the few times the whole boot space is needed either a roof box or trailer hire (if you have a tow bar) soon solve the problem :y

Andy, there is, of course, the option of a spare wheel tank, although on a saloon that does have rather limited range, which keeps all the boot space :y

You may have bought it in July, but it didn't really get used ;)

As for breaking it... I can't see what you could have done unless you've not got it connected back up correctly :-/

I did break a jubilee clip, bagpipe to plenum (no, I hadn't eaten weetabix, it was just shite), but have used a cable tie for now.  I would have thought if that was leaking air, petrol running would be poor as well...

Could be not drawing enough air to affect petrol running but the more fussy LPG running is :-/ :-/ But I wouldn't have thought so TBH :-/

which of course presents its own problems of no spare.
I've had the car over 7 years now, put around 75k miles on it and I can see its days on my drive drawing to an end ..........  ;) probably next year some time.

Not a major problem though, stick it in a bag in the boot (it takes up much less space than a tank) or in the 'van  ;)

I'll still with petrol & keep my boot & spare wheel.  ;) ;) ;)

Thats your choice :y - and a choice I too made for similar reasons for years :y

I do wish, however, I'd done it much, much earlier - I reckon its cut my fuel bill easily by 1/3rd

Aye - I toyed with similar, but most smaller cars dont help my back, and when you stop using cars that previous had lots of use, they seem to need more maintenence...  ...why is that?

I dunno but it seems to hold true,my mig at 74k has needed much more attention than my 190k 406hdi and the pug gets more than twice the use and both cars are the same age :P
