Contact Kevin Wood. He had the same idea a week or so ago, and is organising a Lemans OOF trip for next year. :y

I went about 13 years ago and it was fantastic but you have to get it booked soon for next year. I'm up for it ;)

I'd be interested, don't think I could commit a year in advance though!

Just being honest. Been a motorsport fan ( way past obsessive in my yoof) since the mid 70,s, but 24 hour races never held any interest for me at all. ;)

Oh now come on, we get to see them race at night as well, glowing discs and turbos and flames from exhausts(on petrols) what's not to like? Pick it up and drop it as needed, go have a shower/beer/sleep/party come back and watch the rest.

Racing at night is worth seeing IMO!

Weather will make or break the whole thing though. Too hot or too wet could be most unpleasant.

Although I would have thought you'd prefer the classics le'man Albs...?  ::)

I've been 10 times and should be going next year in the Firenza.
There is plenty to do, so you don't watch the race for 24hrs!!
I go on wed night & come back mon.  Love it  :y :y :y

Albs break off  ;D it's another motorsport meka. Granted it's a shame it's in France, but as you well know, it's not just the destination that's important it's the journey as well. And hence the excuse for a blast  :y

You've been talking to those wombats in gen chat for too long.  ;D

I would much rather take a trip to Norn Irn on the bike to the NW200 and the Ulster Grand Prix. ;)

Or - fly to Milan, go up to lake Como (for at least a week this time) hire a Guzzi from the factory near the lake side, tour the lake area, go a few miles down the road to Monza when Motogpreject riders WSB is there, then carry on a bit further out the other side of Milan and tour the Ducati and Ferrari factories. 8-)
