I have just been looking and I think that the original air box top cover could be large enough with a few mods to fit back on the top and seal the pipercross in the box. I am just not sure if that will make it better or worse though  :y

No Noise on idle, If driven nomally you can't hear it at all, only when you put your foot down and under load.

This is just right for me as I don't want loads of noise all the time, it would just get annoying!

Yeah thats pretty much what it sounds but I think the pipercross sounds better!!

And it definatly sounds better than that when drving and the engine is under load.

WTF is a "pipercross"?  What does it do?  Why would anyone want one?

The replies here just seem to indicate that it makes the exhaust sound better.  Is that all? :(

There is no noise on the motorway and while cruising, only when you put your foot down!! And the noise comes from the engine bay not from the exhaust so it doesn't sound like your average saxo with a big bore on the back!! More like a DB9!! hehe!!

If you don't oil the filter like me then you won't have the MAF problem, just have to remember to take if off once in a while and give it a shake!!

Because its not been oiled to stop the MAF from going wrong, I don't think you can clean it in the conventional way pipercross tells you too, so all you can do is give it a good wipe and tap the dust off!!

I don't know for certain though, someone correct me if I am wrong.

Problem is these filters rely on the oil to retain all the muck they have filtered out and prevent it entering the engine. I would oil it, myself, as it'll be filtering the air very poorly if dry. Just don't go mad with the oil.
