I hope the stag wiring diagram is correct!!
« on: 20 July 2011, 21:33:16 »

Just sorting out the loom. The numbers on the piggy back connectors, and the corresponding ones on the gas injector connections are missing. The wiring diag shows colours for P1 to P8 for petrol injectors, and L1 to L 8 for the lpg ones. So presumably, P1, which is yellow/black and yellow, corresponds to L1, which is blue/red and grey/yellow, then so on for all the others?

I cant test with a multimeter, as the gas ones wont routinely get a pulse unless it thinks it should be firing the LPG injectors...

many thanks :y

Och, just plug them in, and if it doesn't work swap a few around. You have only got 6! possible combinations to try.

Actually 36 combinations (as the piggybacks are easy enough to pair up ;))

James... You'll just have to trust them, bearing in mind the usual bit of 1,2,3 being 1,3,5 etc

Yep. There is method to them IIRC, but I haven't got a wiring diagram to hand.

Which reminds me... I must modify the loom for johnnycboy's conversion ::) ::)

Keep up... Been covered several times :-X :-X ::) ::) ;D ;D

Chop off all the piggyback connectors and graft in standard Vx injector plug and socket (big one) with some cable extension so fewer wires running up to the plenum :y :y

Makes it extremely neat but only worth doing if you have some spare time ;) ;)

Put it this way... I converted my estate with a toroidal tank (plus all the bits for raising the floor etc) and inspected for under £850 :y :y

Not bad....

However that's more than I paid for the new car, and when you add in Pinky's potential bill ( he now charges for  bacon butties  :'( ) its heading for twice the cost of the car.

Ken

Tip for buying a Mig V6. Wait until the school holidays are due, and you will see lots of cars with 80000 miles, cause the garage says it needs the cam belt change which costs a lot, so people quickly trade them in for what ever they can get.

Nope, as not really recommended because it will void the warranty on the loom ;)

That may be the case, but if you plan to do more thank 10k in your ownership of the car it will more than pay for itself in the savings ;)
