I have asked him this question;........

I have posted this on the Omega Owners Forum, we would love to see how you get 45+ mpg, if you can show this then I promise I will buy your car, given no mention of LPG conversion...

He has stated that the first picture is not actually of his car - the rest are then taken at night on a petrol station forecourt...... some quite obvious spelling errors too, not a good advert for the car at all.

After looking at the advert I agree, I would not touch it with a bargepole cos it appears to me to be too good to be true and the ad itself is deceptive.
I would have thought that an ad would have pics that shown and complimented the actual car and not someone elses....
No way jose, as the saying goes....

Yeah same here. Glanced at it on the bay a few days ago. So many ads let down with poor photos and badly written descriptions ::)

Truthfully....from Ipswich to Bury st Edmunds I got an average of 52MPG out of my 3.0 Elite.

Mind you.....I drove the entire way about 8ft from the arse end of a container lorry...won't be doing that again any time soon...Pretty scary !

The most impressive mpg figures I've achieved from my 3.2 Auto estate is 21.8mpg average from Stevenage to Ipswich via Earls Colne (all twisty A/B and back roads)... however, I was towing another Omega all the way!!  :y

I've done that, it really does work, but as you say - very scary  :)
