As I should get my lpg sorted before my weekend away in Paris at the end of the month, my mind has been on lpg adaptors.  I know I can get these on eBay but I am concerned about quality, plus the fact that I won't know if they won't work until it's too late.

This is assuming that I can get the inspection and insurance done before I go.....

Advice from the floor?

I had no problems with the one I used, came from ebay.

PS. you can't go through the chunnel with a gas car, just in case

Make sure you have a pair of pliers handy in the car as they can freeze too tight to get undone by hand I found that out the hard way

I have never taken the Eurotunnel and I dont intend to start now.  I prefer the enforced break from the vehicle during my trip.  Admittedly it's more beneficial when travelling from my home in the NW but even after 2 hours in the car from here to Dover a little coffee and a biscuit watching the ferry pitch and roll makes a difference to the concentration levels

Having used it once. Never again.

"Technical problems" on the way out. Met with a shrug of the shoulders. Hard luck.

Flew to Belgium at my own expense.

Tunnel working fine on the way back, but because I didn't travel out on the tunnel, my return ticket was somehow invalid. Shrug of the shoulders. Hard luck.

Damn thing needs filling with a few tonnes of expanding foam IMHO.

Depends what your insurer ask for. No legal reason to have it inspected whatsoever, but you need to if your insurance company stipulate it, obviously.

There's a place in Alresford who were happy to inspect mine. Place that did Entwood's conversion. I am aware that the main man has emigrated now, but worth a try.

When I spoke to them about it some time ago they said that it should be installed by a professional, so by that they mean to COP11 thus I think I answered my own question.  They are a broker anyhow so I am sure they could find someone who would insure me

I appears that it's about €0.89/L on the autoroutes and €0.79/L in towns right now.  Not that bad then
