Popped out in the Mondeo earlier and had a horrible noise from the rear offside. 

Thought it was stone trapped in the pads, whipped the wheel off to find the shim from the old pads trapped behind the dust cover and the disk. 

I must have dropped it down there when I changed the pads a few weeks ago without noticing and it shifted today so it was rubbing on the disc. 

Anyway, easy fix which is a relief as I'll be racking up some miles over the next few days.

Cleaned crank sensor on step daughters C70 and cured its starting issues[for now!] Then got a bolt that passes through a bush and spring pan rotating with the nut on underside of spring pan[need to change rear springs.Bolt head is very shallow so can't get a decent grip on it with access restricted by the fact it's in the centre of the spring diameter

 Went to the Haddon events show at Orsett, Essex with the car and got cooked to a crispy red with the sun. And we were under a shelter. Damn, it was hot. Still 30 degrees when I got back hame at 5pm

Sent her to Tescos in her "new" (to her) car this morning.  First time she has gone out in it on her own.

For some reason she's worked herself up over driving it, so yesterday we had to get on the motorway just so she could get used to it. Afterwards she admitted that it was just like any other car up and down the motorway.
