I think that's called learning the hard way!
My dad was a proper man, not one of these modern parents.

He taught my little bro to swim by taking him out to sea in our boat, and throwing him overboard.

Bro: "Dad! Dad! I can't swim"
Dad: "Best you learn fast, son"

Managed to saw through the bolt that was holding the cross bar in, took 1/2hr with a hacksaw blade in a handle. Other side was easy as the grinder fitted in, pulled the seal and found lip turned over. Will have to be more careful this time.

My Grandad threw me in the sea something like that when I was 6 or 7!  ::)

I quickly figured out how to swim.  Wish I'd had the balls to call him a oppsing old bastard though! ;D

Cleaned the level sensor switch as I was asking about in the other thread.
And more importantly got a years MOT on the silly old bus, so will be using it for a few weeks. Chuffed, I am.
