I have actually been entertaining the thought of a Motorhome recently.
I really am getting old ! 

Well, err, I was toying with hiring one next year and doing a 2 week tour around the top of Scotland.

I'm pretty certain camper vans ain't for me, so I suppose if I tried one for a holiday I'd know either way.

I think it's disappeared off their site now Rangie, but I saw some others and fell off the chair!!  £50k for a 2nd hand pikey palace!!!  I really am out of touch, as I thought mid range new ones were only £20k.  But then I think small family hatchbacks are only £15k


I must be getting (almost) as old as Uncle Albs!

The problem is people get taken in by the £100 deposit & then £400+ per month for 120 months & end up paying around £50,000+this particular van was used in 2021&2022 and cost around £34,000& it was serviced each year & after that it was stored in the warehouse with a number of others the owners circumstances changed & they no longer could afford the storage and monthly payments but they still owed around £24,000 on it what the early repayment figure was I don't know but I gave £21,500 + our old van, it's been completely serviced & new tyres put on because of their age.It is absolutely as new inside & out some friends popped in this morning & thought it was brand new. The cooker has never been used & some of the cushions are still wrapped, the brilliant thing is that the 2025 model on sale for around £38,000 is exactly the same nothing has changed at all. So we're very pleased with the deal..👍

Have a look on Glossop caravans its one of their special editions it is very posh Chatsworth 860 all mod cons , just hope us two old farts can cope with all the new fangled technology..😂

As an ex owner of various new caravans over 25+ years I thought I’d take a look. Very nice  , and a sensible layout for just two of you, but also very useful layout if you’ve got grandchildren staying with you, as you can shut the privacy door so that both halves of the van can use the toilet/shower facilities. Our Swift Conqueror was like that. 
Did you notice, or am I going mad, that the internal size is listed as 20’12” and the overall width is listed as 7’12”. It’s a long time since I left school but isn’t that the same as 21 feet and 8 feet.

Yes it's the perfect layout for us the youngest grandson has got a week with us in August, we don't normally go away in August but will make an exception this year., he's 12 now so probably won't many more trips with us.

And night vision goggles so you can enjoy the roads over night when everyone is tucked up in their plastic boxes.

 It isn't for you TB, trust me, all the tinkers bumbling along at 50mph, stopping without indication, O and you wait till they see anything bigger than a fly coming towards them.
