With alot of kicking and screaming, a pry bar, a grinder and a couple of hammers, dropped the gearbox to change the clutch ::)

Took a bit of a beating to refit it as well, but all done. Do wonder if an auto wouldn't be easier though :-\

Release bearing was not long for this world but the fiction plate was a tad crunchy and polished. All that remains is to refit the propshaft and cats, but they can wait for another, warmer day.  ::)

Was it a figment of your imagination then? :-X ::)

That's what you call a knackered clutch. ;D

just had a superb hours run back from WIM after having geometry set up properly, much better no tramlining wheel straight and she doesnt wander with the camber, she wasnt to far out but the idiot that tried to do my tracking local to me made it worse.i was starting to think id done it when changing the top mount that failed but no all my work was spot on,as shes sits lower than a standard omega settings slightly different than the norm but wow what a difference.
so big up to tony at WIM knows his stuff. and very good price

Finished rebuilding it... :y

Jump started it as the battery was flat, and got just enough air out of it to allow the clutch to work. (Bled it 3 times too, poxy thing).

Exhaust has a slight blow, the spanner light is on, but it does move under its own steam :y

That's what I used to get when I used it to commute to a previous job (no motorway), I actually travel double the distance to get to and from this job but it's just a gentle run down the M42 and M5 and vica versa.

Mind you... was a bit concerning when I got off the motorway at my usual junction and called in at the garage 100yds away only to find that their card machine was broken and could only accept cash.... fortunately I had a fiver on me  ;D
