Well I now have a set of refurbed wishbones in the garage with poly fronts and Febi Bilstein rears with Lemforder ball joints all mounted on a pair of Vauxhall wishbones off the MV6 and if this rain stops for another 30 mins I am going to fit them on the DTi estate and check the steering idler again. :o :o

One side done, just over the hour for one out and one in. Drivers side tomorrow :D

Well that's both wishbones with poly bushes and new rears and ball joints and the old girl is a lot better to drive now, just need a full wheel setup done now and she is back 100% and also two new tyres

Fitted Pedders heavy duty monaro top mounts and bearing, from monkfish performance.

Not quite the same moulding regarding height by about 4mm or so, or it could be the old ones have collapsed by comparison.

Ride is much improved. Less tram lining too. Although that could be because I couldn't be bothered to set the camber "exactly" as it was before, (it's got slightly less camber now) as the tyres are buggered anyway, and intend set up next week.

Visually now, there is ZERO gap between the top mounts big washer and the strut mount housing thingy in the wing. So the front ride height is higher by that amount, looking at the wheel arch gap to tyre.

The ride though, is much less harsh than it was. I was getting to the stage where I wasn't enjoying driving it before the work.

See how they settle in with the full weight of the car on them.

Washed them with my new snow foam lance (which is less impressive than I'd hoped), drained the coolant on the Omega again and .. then it rained.

Hmm, any picks? My freebie foamer thingie that came with the karcher does a reasonable job of foaming the car, but isn't a proper foamer.

If the real ones aren't much better, I'll stick to the one they gave me :)

On trying to fill up with fuel, discovered the Zafira Fuel Flap locking solenoid has broken.
Under a years service from a new one, So guess that will be an attempt at a warranty claim.

Drove off without fuel,   2 mins at my destination and it is open and disabled ready to fill up on my way home.

Always sommat.

NOWT  >:(

Lovely sunny day up north, could have finished my carbon fibre-ing of door panels and a couple of other things but no. Spent all afternoon ferrying swmbo around to find her a new car.

Might as well have been a dress, wrong colour this, wrong colour that, to old, to new, looks cheap. 5 hours later and still no decision so then off to Nando's with the kids, something out of it in the end.

Nothing to the cars, as phishing down all day.  I did noticed I'd parked the Bullet so close to TBE that there isn't room for a Rizla :o

I did a double take, checked they weren't touching :o
