The TPMS warning popped up on the way home from work yesterday. Suggested that the NSF had dropped to 2 bar.
I check my tyres periodically, rather than religiously, so I duly checked all four and found the NSF was indeed low. Not 20 miles later, the warning returned so investigated further.
Jacked up, the odd flint in the tread, and a bulge the size of an apple in the inner side wall...

Which goes some way to explaining both the slight vibration and pressure loss. Looks like the bead failed as no obvious damage to either the wheel or tyre.
The original spare has gone on without hesitation and four new tyres ordered... Suffice to say it's not getting another set of Sumitomo BC100 tyres
