Crazy Rear Wheel CAMBER
« on: 03 January 2008, 23:45:38 »

Well I have been looking at some pictures and I started to notice difference of how much you can see the rear Camber of my car with the Spacers and I guess its part due to the tires sticking out that far.  What do you guys think, I think it looks bad ass but we will see how long my tires will last.   :o   ::)

I was just looking at them and they look fine but I bet that crazy camber will wear them fast.  I need to get a gauge and measure the difference between the outside and the inside to see how much different they are... but you can tell how severe the angle is just from the photo, looks like 2-3 degrees doesn't it?  :o

Here is another shot...

I think that's not far off for the rear. Can't remember exactly but I think mine measured over 2 degrees at the rear when I had it set up at WIM.  :-/

The spacers shouldn't make any difference to the camber

Not sure that looks drastically different to mine, esp as mine is sitting low at the back (knackered shocks).  Is yours lowered?

They may well change the camber value required to achieve even tyre wear though!

I reckon that, in part, it's an illusion caused by the bodywork sloping inward.

I see your figures, but as pointed out the spacers shouldn't have made the difference.

Well the body work will do that but when you look at the back of the car wtih you vision down to either side of it towards the front and you look closely to where the front and rear tires are in the same view you can see the back one leaning farther then the front one is, no biggie I guess it just handles better that way but so much for good tire life, my rears are already chewed up on the insde...

The spacers will not and can not change the camber angle, it will change if the car has duff shocks, springs or has been lower
