.....I know, kill joys.........
Apologies in advance, friend.....
Rather that then being killer of bikers (who forgot to switch on their headlights, not a legal requirement....) approaching from the side, on the major road, with right of way, that you failed to see through the excessivly tinted drivers side windows.......
I know that those behind B pillar are out of drivers view and thus not applicable, but.......
Just my tuppence, no offence intended....
No offence taken;
There are varies of tints and most people who install these have never considered the hazzards associated.
What bothers me is that there is no effort on education and worse still, when someone gets pulled, they usually say, "I didn't realise, the bloke who fitted it said it was legal..."
My point is that these installers should be chased and made to reimberse the poor suckers who shell out after only considering the asthetic look.
Tinted windows are dangerous, not only from the point you raise, but also other road users who seek eye contact from drivers at roundabouts and junctions. More sinister are the people who try to hide inside them.
How much would it cost the government for a campaign allerting people to the dangers; that would stop the unscripulous companys virtually overnight?
