The Little White Pig *new exhaust arrived*
« on: 05 January 2009, 16:36:53 »

Ex West Mercia Traffic Car (you can still make out the word Police on the bonnet ::) ) HID's, towbar, can't complain!

Picked this up last night with suspected headgasket fault...  Ended up being a buggered coolant bottle cap and a blown coolant hose too.  Need to replace the cats on it aswell as they are causing some serious hesitation, but meh its not bad!

Drive home last night was interesting, went through 12 litres of water over 20 miles due to it acting like a pissed up drunk and always going for a wee, so spent today fixing up the engine & checking it over, runs sweet as a nut (other than the power issues due to the exhaust), no knocks or rattles, even the topend is nice & quiet!

Debating putting another 12 months MOT on it when it expires & drive it for a little while as a workhorse (as got quite a few heavy things to move about), but if it fails or if I decide not to, I'll be splitting it :)

Either way, it will eventually be broken & sold off on here once I've had my fill of it!

That will clean up real nice. Some auto glym paint renovator followed by super resin polish and it will shine!!!  :y

One thing I would defo do is get rid of the chav cone filter and put the panel filter and standard air box back on her.

No no no  ::)

It's getting none of that preferential treatment like the Elite does (car washes, etc)... It will be looked after accordingly in regards to the mechanics however :)

This is a work horse for now, well atleast until I sell it on in individual pieces!

Aye tis a 3.0, I got this one primarily for the diff when it comes to splitting, the 3.2 I'm just buying a bare engine & ar35 box to go in the saloon, as I wouldn't make enough back buying a 3.2 facelift whole & splitting it.

I love duccie kits just for the sound when you boot 'em, adds to the fun if not the power. Did i mention my powerflow s/s de cat full exhaust? Why do some folk think it ok to make a car look good but not sound good too?
PS I may be alot of things but i'm not a chav.  >:(

If its a full SS system, it will most likely be pretty easy to just swap the decats over for the cats come MOT time...

Well today has been a pricey, yet worthwhile day...

New 72AH battery (thankfully VX had an offer on the TC prices so worked out at £48 inc VAT) So got that fitted as the one in there was buggered, and only rated at 55AH
New cat-back exhaust system has been ordered & should be here tomorrow
Filled up the boot with all the crap I was carting about in the saloon

Also considering the battery has been fully discharged and the engine hasn't been ran for a week now... Turn of the key, engine fired up straight away with no hesitation, missing or nasty noises :)

Only bad thing... Airbag light is on & I have no way of reading the codes for it :S
