picked up my car
« on: 02 October 2010, 17:33:12 »

Hi all and thanks for the welcome good to know you really are a friendly lot, well as i said a friend gave me a late "99" omega 2.2 and yesterday we drove to Swityerland to pick it up it's covered 170k and is in pretty good nick the front bumper has a bit of a scuff but apart from that it's pretty clean the bodywork is actually immaculate apart from the odd parking bay scratch which most will probably come out with a good cut. motor runs great but must do the exhaust as it's blowing somewhere but haven't investigated yet and need to do the front ball joints as they are a bit clatterry and i think i heard something in the back end but can't be sure as i have only driven it for about 10 mins! anyway once she's registered and on the road the fun will begin with a lowering kit and some wheels maybe some tints( haven't read the whole post on that yet!)anyway got some photo'S not good ones but i will post more when i get her out on the road again.

sorry about the photo's I know they're not great and don't do the car justice but as i say i will post again soon, any ideas for styling let me know many thanks, Rich. :)

Exhaust, check the flexi-joint by the cat, "clattery" could well be just the droplinks

Hi Rich,

Welcome to the OOF forum. I'm sure you'll find a lot on here to read and keep you occupied  ::) .

Styling ideas are very much a personal thing Rich.  Maybe an idea to keep looking through the 'Gallery' section on here for a few ideas though.
Mind you, if done right the Estate models look pretty good with a simple lowering of the suspension, and nice set of aftermarket wheels.   :y

been looking around and i'm thinking the lowering, kit new grill, new wheels and the rear overhang spoiler (at the same time will get my bumper re-sprayed) and de-badging! :y
