Very Clean 3.0 MV6 Omega, Silver
« on: 27 August 2010, 17:35:26 »

I am totally knackered after cleaning this car! Silver in my opinion never looks like you have cleaned it.

T-Cut and then a polish.

I even T-Cutted the wheels and polished them.

That's its winter polish done now!  :y

the reason for changing the wheels was...

the original wheels were low profile, the type off the elite and on the mv6, the alloys where kerbed alot so I obtained so higher profile tyres to improve the looks and also the ride with it being an mv6.

It wasn't a criticism mate i just dont like those particular wheels  :y

But yeah i get what you mean,i just got Elite wheels for mine as opposed to the 16' CD alloys they look better but you can feel the road more i.e bumps!
I wondered how high a profile you would get away with on the 17'?

I like the car though mate, love the front bumper,i want one for mine

this was 5 hours work, a t-cut to remove black blobs of tar and splattered flys from when it was hot.

lol - i'm laughing at my own statements now, woooow too much beer (not driving, my puffy friend was just done for that and for people who are following he blew 74MG and the legal limit is 35MG, what a idiot).

Funny, when I was 17 I could work on a car all day and now @ 28, thanks for the B DAY message guys (was 25th) I feel one hour is enough to work on cars before feeling 60 and aching.  :y

I like the big scratch in it too lol  :'(

This is a new front bumper as a Finglands bus reversed into the other, spoilt by my miss judgement scraping in to a Cavalier GL.  :-[

In picture 3, what looks like a massive bug splattered on the floor is actually t-cut melting the pavement unlike the mrs. saying it looks like a banana squashed bug.

when the car was at the menders they had trouble finding a replacement bumper, which in my eyes makes it rarer. Although when it was listed on eBay with full service history and it being nearly top speck it only fetched £770, it didn't sell.  ::)

...mind you petrol was £1.89p per litre then LOL!

Looks nice mate but just be carefull with T-cut mate not realy that good for your paint try a clay bar kit meguiars do one and so does auto gylm then do your polish and wax. The clay takes all the contaminants out of the paint same as T-cut but does not damage your clear coat like T-cut. Also there is a company called autosmart that do a glue and tar remover called tardis that will get bugs and tar and tree sap off your motor. Then a good polish and wax to seal it all.  Just a bit of advice if you want to know more have a look at a site called detailing world loads of info on there infact info overload maybe. ;D ;D
