It'll have to have a 'special' test at a VOSA (?) centre.
I have the details somewhere, but a terrible memory! :)

What every year or just initially ?  :-?

As you've changed it from its original body type, will you have to have it inspected by your local DVLA and get it re-registered as a pick up ?.

Just initially, as I understand it.

Anyone round the Yorkshire area got a nice little plasma cutter?
Not really looking forward to using a jigsaw to cut out the new steel! :-/

Would it not be cheaper to hire a plasma cutter from a tool hire company than buy one?.  Or are you wanting one as your doing a bulk load of cutting?.

This link any good?

Is it worth going to a local fabrication / engineering company, ask to speak to the shop floor manager, ask if they have a Plasma cutter and they could cut your steel for some beer money?.

It's worth it yes, but as there's no-one near to where I work (40 miles from York) and I never seem to have a weekday off...........

Hopefully you will get some demon plasma axeman sorted soon, pedro.

Looking good so far - might be better without that towbar hanging of the back though.   ;)  Any chance of a reply to my PM's please?   :y

Went to get the jigsaw out today, but other issues got in the way mainly, the battery charger stopped working, so now I have the truck stuck in the garage and the Carlton stuck at the top of the drive.
Two hours later, one trip to Halfords and £53 quid lighter got me another charger.

Lots of bits of sheet steel shaped and cut today, gotta get some fold put in them then get them welded in.

Still can't get the electrics in the seats to work, so still can't get them and the carpets out. Bit of a bugger, but the climate is dead, so are the clocks and radio, although the wiring for the Bose speakers, sub and amp has been unplugged removed. :-/
Fuses all seem to be OK, even tested a few that are relevant and all fine.

Any ideas?
I really need the seats and carpets out before I start with the sparkly wand! :-/
