if he's left the windows open chances are he'll be lucky if it's still there in the morning!!

moving your cars is the best move, and only ring the fire brigade if it actually catches fire, otherwise you'll get charged a call-out fee for a "non emergency"!

Well it didnt go up during the night.....its still there with the windows open and still stinking of petrol....it also seems to a nasty oil leak as well....

It has been "researched" on "Mythbusters" that a discarded cigerette will not light a puddle of petrol, though flicked in a window and getting the seats smoldering, I would guess woud get it going up big time!

i can confirm that throwing a match on petrol poured on ground does work. Apparently ::)

I can also confirm that welding a patch on the offside wheel arch of a cavalier MK3 is not a good idea, because the petrol pipe is clipped to the other side of the arch, and powering water over it does absolutely no good at all.   :( Carrying one of those cheap foam extinguishers is a very good idea  :y
