Hi all, suggestions welcome for buying new Omega
« on: 01 August 2007, 12:06:53 »

Hi all,

My congratulations for this great forum.

I have been amased from a my friend's '98 Omega luxury and stability. I want now to buy one and I am looking around and have found a couple of great offers for late 2003 productions of Omega with Xenon headlights.

Would you be so kind to give me your suggestions for below links ? What should I look for, what to be careful on etc..

Link1: http://www.mobile.de/cgi-bin/da.pl?bereich=all&sprache=2&id=11111111270399852&

Link2: http://www.mobile.de/cgi-bin/da.pl?bereich=all&sprache=2&id=11111111269800759&

I live in Albania and here road conditions are really rough. I would like to know how Opel Omega of 2003 reacts to rough road conditions, frequent holes in road, bad quality of diesel and too much of dust ???

Thank you all for your support

Greetings gejola and welcome to the forum :y

I think prolonged driving on rough roads might mean having having your wheel alignment checked quite often. :-?

Welcome to the site :)

Sorry, I don't know how the car will cope in dusty pot-holed environments. Dust shouldn't be too much of a problem, potholes will put lots of stress on suspension/steering components..

Ref rough roads in Albania, I found this on the internet.
It shows a road in Tirana.  :o

Road looks ok but pavement looks awful  :o

Hello Gejola and welcome - suspension parts will wear out but in UK are fairly cheap to replace  :y

Hello and welcome to the site :y

If i may just add, if it does`nt bother you too much to have a right hand drive car in europe then i would advise you to export an Omega from England, no Import tax, just a few modifications such as headlights
but at the end of the day a much cheeper car with all mod cons. :y :y
