You can use any of the preloaded avatars, or if you have your own you can use that if it is hosted elsewhere, ie ISP webspace or photobucket or similar, you can't just pick a picture off your pc.

Hi Tristan and welcome to the forum. :y

You can select an avatar from an avatar website or upload your own picture to a picture hosting site like Photobucket. Once you have selected an avatar or picture from the hosting site, right click your mouse on the picture and look at the "properties". You need to copy the address (URL) and paste it in the box called "I have my own pic" in the "options" section of your forum profile. I hope this helps. :)
