Hello everyone,
I found this place after a quick google and after a bit of a snoop around thought it would be a good idea to register. I think I might be asking a good few questions!
I've got a 2000 2.5V6 CDX. Plenty of the usual toys (heated seats are the best invention ever!) and whilst I don't pretend it's a Ferrari it's stunningly competent. Very reliable, easy to cover big distances and has done a darned good job so far. It's cost me a lot less to run than equivalent certain German models I have owned previously (*cough 5 series cough*) and been a whole lot more dependable.
Inevitably after coming to close on 100,000 miles it now needs a few things doing. I think a wheel bearing is on the way out and the front discs are bone china thin. I've done such jobs on plenty of motors before and having seen the How Tos on here it looks very simple to do - unless anyone has some warnings on things to watch out for!
I will say one thing mind. I really don't care for the amount of negative camber on the wheels - it can tramline suprisingly badly at times, eats tyres up and as I only go for upper range rubber it can hurt - and the tracking is a pain to maintain! But minor gripes for what has been a very decent, well behaved motor.
Anyway, nice to be here and I look forward to asking plenty more questions!
