Hi to all from an absolute newbie & HELP PLEASE
« on: 15 January 2009, 19:36:10 »

Hello.
I have a Vauxhall Omega 2.5v6 auto cdx 1998 model which I enjoy very much.
I live in Ashburton Devon and am 39. I am self employed electrician & plumber.
However, I do have a couple of problems with the car.I don't know if I put them in this thread or the technical one, so apologies if they are in the wrong one. I will also put them in the technical section.
Here goes

1) My alarm sounder will not stop sounding this is a continuous tone from what I assume is the power sounder and I have had to disconnect the battery to stop it sounding. How can i stop this and where is the soounder please.

2) The car is due for MOT v. shortly and the hndbrake barely works how easy is it to check the shoes oradjust etc.

sorry for the lenghty text.

"Hello" and welcome  :)

Answers to both are in the Guides section .. :)

Power sounder : http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1220198611

Rear brakes :  http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1152564750

It's best to post tech questions in "General Help" as more of the experts read there than here .. :)

Also, stick your car details and location in your profile, saves being asked a zillion times, and someone who "knows" may live near you .. :)
