Hello
« on: 16 January 2010, 15:44:07 »

Hello all im Jack.

Currently don't own a omega but on the look out for one.

Got to be a diesel though, the ones i've seen come in either a 2.2 or 2.5(bmw lump) which is the best to go for? Guessing the 2.5 bmw lump will be alot stronger?

Also wondering what sort of price i shuld be paying, looking at one between any age of 1998-2001 and its got to be manual and in black.

Are they a easy car to live with? I love the look of them.

"Hello" and welcome :)

Lots of info on the oil burners from the many owners ... ask in "General Chat", for prices look in the "for sale section", or ask in "General Chat" as well

All Omegas are easy to live with providing you treat them properly with a little regular maintenance, lack of maintenance = major problems .. :(

Unfortunately as the cars are all getting on in years now, you have very little idea just how well previous owners have cared for them .. so service history is very, very important when you come to buy .. :)

Hello Jack and a very warm welcome to you! :y

An Omega gives you great value for money and a lovely car to boot!  Give it good maintenence, love and attention, and it will provide you with superb transport.  There are some weaknesses in their design (like with most cars) but stay on this forum and there is nothing that cannot be resolved. 8-) 8-)
