Evening all
« on: 04 December 2010, 21:46:37 »

Hiya

Just bought an 02 2.2 DTi CDX saloon, is there anything i should look out for? Its a good runner and is in extremely good nick, just need to know if there's anything i need to look out for and are there any maintenance manuals for it as the only Haynes manual is for the Omega A not the B.

Look forward to manu chats on here, Gareth

Hiya mate, welcome to the OOF :y
I'm afraid Haynes didn't get around to doing a manual for the Facelift Omega but the old one covers models upto 1999 & most things are the same/very similar so can be used for reference. I'm not sure whether the diesel is covered in it though? You will find any help you need here though, they are a great bunch! :y

Hi Gaz, Welcome to the OOf..  ;)

Under-steer is when the front of the car hits the wall, and over-steer is when the rear of the car hits the wall.
Power is how fast you hit the wall and torque is how much of the wall you take with you.

How do Gareth. Welcome to the OOF :y :y

There's not much that goes wrong with the DTi. Just keep the oil changed at regular intervals (i do mine at 1500 miles, but that me) 3000 miles is a good place :y

Please don't change it at twenty thousand as per service book :o :o You'll kill it :(
