Does anyone know where the climate control ECU is situated. I think mine is duff

Ive had nothing but trouble with the Climate Control in fact its never worked all I get is cool air. The pipes running through the bulkhead get warm and if I disconnect the yellow plug at the back of the control panel I can get warm air. I tried reseting by holding the Auto and off buttons and you can hear clicking but that hasn't helped. I spoke to the previous owner and he said he shorted the circuit board at the back of the Climate Control changing a bulb so he bought a second hand panel and fitted that but it still didn't work and with winter around the corner I need to get it sorted. I have noticed when I turn the ignition off I get -- in the Climate display any ideas.

saloon and estate run different configs, not sure if that would cause your problem...

Cheers Jaime so you think the previous owner may have replaced the controls with one from an estate?

Im pretty sure -- on the climate display means climate ecu is unhappy about summat....so as its the 2nd climate panel fitted and still doing it....suggests the shorting did other damage to summat else....any chance you can get the codes read??

Ive got a cheapo tech2 and that will read the climate ecu on mine, but dunno about yours sorry

Hi BC mine is the same as yours the previous owner was changing a bulb when it blew so he replaced it with a second hand one but the heater has run cold since then so im hoping that the one I have just bought will solve the problem

Well ive changed the circuit board todat and ive now got a working heater All ive got to do next is find out why the aircon doesn't work
