Cruise part numbers
« on: 31 October 2006, 13:05:39 »

In view of comments on other threads, it may be better buying new components (or at least the stalk), but this will depend on price and availability obviously.
In order to help me, and the parts man, could anyone advise the part numbers I would require?
My car is prefacelift V6 so would require the stalk and control unit, etc.

Cheers in advance guys   [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Just get stalk new, and the brake and clutch switches as required. The under bonnet stuff I'd pick up from breaker... (though could get all from breaker, but be prepared to change stalk after a few months - you may be lucky and it lasts)

Cheers TB. Are the brake and clutch switches always required, or is it hit and miss? Can't rely on Vx parts dept to know the answer!!

On prefacelift, it is likely you'll need brake switch and clutch switch (if manual)

Can't find the part number for the brake switch - anybody have it by chance?
Cheers

Sorry, no part numbers but just fyi clutch swich either £13 or £20 + vat (probably £13 for you), stalk new appx £31 + vat, brake switch, same as clutch plus under bonnet stuff can be expensive if you buy it all new.

I was asked for chassis no for mine & Vx able to call up all parts on PC (and they fit). :)

Cheers  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

I'm hoping to call into my dealer tomorrow, as I need a new fuel filter, so I'll ask him to price it up for me anyway.

If I have any luck I'll  post the info.
