Thanks for that! ( Im A bit illieterate when it comes to PCs) the photo is below. The arrow points to the offending pipe with the hole in it. Looking at it, it appears that the pulley has worn the hole into.
I apologise for the photo quality as I just went out and took it  :). rather than try and explain as i wouldn't do a very good job!

Sorry to drag this thread back to power steering but that pipe arrowed isn't power steering, it's an air injection pipe (or have I totally lost it). While there is a lot of oil over it on mine it came from the pipes connecting to the reservoir. They had gone hard and didn't grip snuggly.

Hi rpont

i do believe that the pipe aroowed is actually powersteering because when you operate the steering wheel, fluid is actually pumped out of it at quite high pressure.

Unless their as another fluid coming out of it and a different fault on the power steering?

Thanks Karl

I can see the confusion, the air injection pipe is the one running through to the left of the belt, the power steering is to the right of the belt and from what I can see (when zoomed in) has a small groove worn in it by the aircon compressor.

That is correct Marks DTM, when the steering is operated it pumps out through the groove.
Going to My local scrappers this weekend and then it's bumper off time!! ( Weather permitting of course :()
While at the same time my dad is doing the head gasket on my sisters car.

Gonna be a busy weekend
