Yes mate, checked the springs they're ok, top strut bearings appear free and all moves when turning as it should; steering is quite good on this car apart from some tram lining due to the usual wide tyre syndrome, but even this has improved since fitting new steering idler arm. Have to say was a bit pissed off when I got the MOT'd the other week and although it passed , the advisories were: Front brake imbalance, hopefully cured by new disks/ pads and bled @ VX using Tech 2 (never really noticed it when braking') then rear shocks slight misting of oil, replaced these and finally Steering idler, replaced this.
Sickening a car that is 6 years old and only 52,000 on the clock, I must say I've never had so many issues at one time with any other cars I've had in the past, looks like you have to drive these damn things with kid gloves!! never really enjoy driving this car as I'm always waiting for the next thing to go wrong or some knock or other
