Should the sunroof dial on my Elite light up with the lights on?

Hi, yes, it should light up, there is a small bulb behind it, easy to replace though.

I am a complete muppet when it comes to electrical stuff, but it only took me ten minutes to replace. Simply pull off the switch, remove plastic surround, and there is the bulb. Had to get my bulb from the Vauxhal Stealers, funny little thing with two wires poking out.

thats the problem with these high spec cars i dont know what supposed to be lit and whats not!  a light came on at my elec windows adjuster once and thought that there was a loose connection when it went out. i found out that it was lit when the heated rear screen/mirrors came on !! (muppet) we live and learn.

Sunroof bulb comes on with ign.  Some units have replacable bulbs, with spares available from dealer. Others do not, which means stripdown, and soldering a new one one (if you can get one)

Mine illuminates...when it feels like it.
Loose connection probably.
I'll do it when I take a look at the switch. Darned s/roof tilts open by itself occasionaly.

My wife's one does that. Can it be cleaned or is it a replacement job?
