Dashboard heater vents not working
« on: 02 March 2007, 06:51:29 »

Set off for work at 5 this morning to discover a nice layer of froast over the car, got it all scraped off and started but when it came to getting the inside of the car warm it would seem that the blowers mounted in the dashboard don't actually blow no matter where the dial is pointing,  there is a very very slight breeze coming from them if the fan is on it's highest setting but thats it.

The blowers on the back seat seem to work ok so whats the likely problem and how easy is it to fix.  There is warm air coming out of the slots pointing at the windscreen but with only these it takes ages to get the inside of the car warm.

Any ideas?

In which case check the avc pipes at the rear of teh engine bay....

Also, when you turn the position dial, you should hear a short hiss at certain positions (with the engine running)....if not ...definately a vac leak

Can't say i've ever heard any sort of hiss so i'll have a look at the pipes over the weekend when i try and find out where this oil is leaking from.

Thanks
