i have just spoke to the garage which gave the estimate and was informed the £2500 repair bill includes any items they may have not come across and only further investigation will bring any other issues to light  ,that means the car is written off for damage they have not spotted yet and may well be not there ,you could not make it up! that means they have probably quoted for inner wing, bumper support etc, they won't give me a parts/labour breakdown as they only supply this info to the insurance company at this stage yet it's my car the are quoting on! .

Personally, I wouldn't trust them!  Sorry to appear sceptical, they're either covering their arses, as you imply above or pricing out of the job, i.e. they don't want to do it!  The insurance company will effectively write it off on their bloody mindedness...  Get some more quotes, don't tell them that you've had any more and that they are you're first..   garages can tend to talk to each other to keep the local area pricing up...  B'steds ..  Also just a thought, you're quote may be weighted to London, get a quote outside the Home Counties..........

Good Luck[/size]
