2.0 8v probs

hi
having probs with idle and pickup on my 2.0 8v (120,000 miles!)
saw article on here about this problem. it mentioned the Vectra 'how to' section on cleaning breather pipes etc, but can't find it!
any one help??

Blimey, 8v Omega is rare.  Presumably the throttle system is the same as 16v ones, in which case clean up the Idle Control Valve. Not sure where it is on a 8v though, someone will be able to help.

Breather clean is also recommended, 16v one is in the Maintence Guides section, again, I don't know if 8v is the same...

I think it's the same engine as used in the last of the Carltons...

Ah yes....the 20SE.....cracking little engine.....bomb proof to....

Ok, first place as always to check on this little chap is the large corrugated air pipe to the throttle assembly.....look closely for splits etc....

Similar but detuned the best 2.0 Carlton was the high compression pre cat car
