pad wear sensors

are the front pad wear sensors on a 2.5 1998 omega vx part only
or can you get none  genuine

Not sure about non vx  :-/

The vx ones are pretty resonably priced ( about £12) and if you have trade card or access to one the pad sensors are about £8 from vx.

Prices rough and not to the penny  ;)

part number 90495144 showing in my ( last) trade book £8.67 retail and £6.50 trade. Need to add VAT to that :y

Hi replaced disks pads & sensors a couple of years ago on my 3.0. All no genuine. Al i remember was thet the connectors onto the loom were'nt the best of fits but did the job.
Discs at time were £48.04(296mm) pads £26.81 & sensors £10.20 each.
All from local motor factor, was'nt too bothered about discount as the time as i know Genuine would have been alot more.

When i bought the brake pads i was quoted something in the region of £40 odd for the sensors  :o that's why they were never replaced,think id better visit my vaux dealer and have words (very naughty words) with them. >:(

Delphi do aftermarket ones but I'd be surprised if they were cheaper than TC prices

In my opinion heres some things vauxhall do best and do cheapest. Pad sensors for functionality and price are in that league along with oil, exhausts etc  :y

After having fitted pattern pads and discs to the MV6, I couldn't agree more...   ...and to add insult to injury, the pattern stuff was nearly the same price  >:(

FWIW I paid something like £12 in Halfords for a pair, so on that basis I'd go with Vx w. trade card next time for just a couple of £more.

Vx prices are EACH, not the pair ;)

Later (2001 on) only have one sensor...
