alternator bushes

anybody know where i can buy alternator bushes. mine are noisey i went to vauxhall but they couldnt help. (part nos would help).... :-?

Alternator bushes?

Do you mean the shaft bearings? if so you can get them off t'internet, try Simply Bearings, iirc you need a 6202-2RS and a 6302-2RS

Yep, bearings are as below....easy to get as they are standard parts....try simply bearings on line...

thanks guys i did mean bearings yesterday sorry..anyway went back to vauxhall today and got another member of staff and found that you can buy the bearings price came to about £40.i did look them up on simply bearings and they work out at about £60 so ill buy them from vauxhall (thats a first).. :D

just wasted 5 hours removing alternator stripping it down just to find out that the bearings suggested are infact absolutely no where even close to the size that are fitted to the alternator on an 2.5 omega. im totaly PISSED OFF  >:(

OK, so what is marked on the edge of the old bearings? / Can you measure them, need ID, OD and thickness

Sorry to hear that... I took-off the drawings, but Mark's sizes are spot-on according to Vx EPC, so not sure what happened there...

sorry for the delay...yes i checked and double checked. but the bearings on my alternator are a lot bigger. one thing i did notice was that the biggest one looked like it was totally sealed ( incased in metal ) however i did take the smaller one apart to find it was very dry so obviously i packed it with plenty grease (lurpack) its definatly a lot quiter but I can still hear it ( you know how it is ) i know the sensible thing to do would have been to read the numbers on the sides or to measure them but i was so gutted that i just stuck it all together and went in a big huff.....paul :)
