Autobox clunk

Slow down then instantly pull away, I occasionally get a clonk from the box as power goes back on.

Any ideas please?

I am thinking along these lines, wouldn't mind an AR35 with replaced thrust washer though

Will be sorting it out with Jaime after mid June - combine it with a visit to Bicester Village shopping centre for my wife and pop in and see the neighbours who are moving at their new place of work.

I need a suit, old one does not fit me any more. Need one for interviews and the Made in Brunel show.

As for the autobox clunk, could be new oil and filter needed. Senator is considerably smoother with new fluid AND filter..

The TD started clonking a bit, then within days, game over.

Do the fluid immediately, then see what happens.

He He, that's exactly what mine was doing since new - drove me mad. TheBoy's v9 upgrade finally sorted it... have you had yours done? If not get it done asap, then worry about ATF change. I had all the bits lines-up for the ATF change, but after TheBoy's miracle cure I kept putting it off... mind you, not a  bad idea to have an ATF change from time to time (or rather 'ATF refresh' since you only change about half of it...), but v9 upgrade is the key.

For info, these guys do the auto box filters for under 15 quid and the gaskets for about 3 quid....

www.jpat.co.uk

Just remember that the correct designation is a 4L30E....

i have noticed the clunk more since i have done the autobox oil and filter!!!!

is still not really noticble all the time, i am getting worried about the box in general.

Mine has done 125,000, i know that TD's were well known for blowing thier boxes, what about the 2.5 V6's?
