Cheers. Will keep you posted. I've got faith in it but it's a case of how long before another piece of track wears out? For a 9 year old she's done ok really. Just unfortunate that this particular item failed two weeks after buying it. I did forget to mention that when I split the switch casing it was half full of rusty water  :( so when I re-assembled it I just smeared the o-ring seal with a bit of hylomar.   :y

Just thought id let everyone know that the cheap gear selector switch fix is stll going strong. Its been a couple of weeks and lots of short school runs as well as a couple of long hauls this weekend. Been peeing down to but everthing is working fine.
