Although you're HT leads appear ok , could be that one or several are breaking down under load, so might be worth changing them or swapping for some known good ones.

I've just gone through the exact problem, new dis pack, new 'iridium' plugs, still a misfire on my '98/2.5 /elite - 118,000miles, the plug leads looked good, still I changed them (good fun) the best £40.00 I have spent on the car, ticks over for ever at 600rpm, pulls to 6500rpm very smmmmooth.

Hi, sorry to hear about your problems, i have just been through all the same with mine, was mis firing on plug 1 so had new leads and plugs, but still same mis fire, then went to new coil pack, this did fix the spark on all cylinders but still was not running well so garage said it needed new camshaft sensor and this sorted the problem, but a week after 1 of my cat converters had burnt out so had to have new 1 fitted, finally everything works well and just done 500 mile trip to Bath for the weekend and had no problems.

Hope you get it sorted.
