« on: 31 May 2007, 16:08:15 »

Hi all,

any idea if theres a difference between a 1998 Omega MV6 3.0 V6 crank sensor and a 1998 Omega CDX 2.5 v6 crank sensor?

Thanks

Andy

When I bought a replacement from VX about 4 weeks ago the code numbers all appeared to be the same..only difference was the plug connecter found under scuttle panel..it seems that 1998 was the change over year as mine is also 1998...difference is the shape of plug and also the cost...assuming you have the correct type plug think they are identical..but wiser people on the forum than me will no doubt give a difinitive answer either way

Hello Andy and welcome to the forum.  There were at least two versions for my CDX 2.5 V6 - the difference being in the connector end.  On my car, the two versions had different part numbers.  I could see the part number stamped on mine which made it easy to order the correct one.  Hope his helps,

Jon
