Hi KenT. Had a look, good site, exept just my luck - only one for mine! P0725, it says is a transmission prob, but the gearbox etc feels fine, no different to any time. So P1590 and P1335 are still elusive. Anyone any links to other sites or further advice? Cheers.

P0725 Engine RPM circuit malfunction (likely crank sensor)
P1590 ignition switch, supply voltage out of limits (alternator regulator perhaps)
P1335 Fuel injection pump control module - crank sensor signal missing (likely wiring to crank sensor)

Does that help?

Sounds like you might be in need of a new crank sensor..

Cheers JasonH. You had any problems like this? Can the crank sensor be responsible for all these errors? Or do you think I might have a few problems? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Quite often one fault can generate a number of different fault codes.

In your case I'd be checking the alternator output by measuring the voltage across the battery with the engine running.

If the voltage is too high (more than 14.5V) you can get all sorts of problems and faults.

If that's OK I'd be changing the crank sensor. On the V6 petrols the crank sensor fails quite a lot, but I don't know about the diesels.

Cheers JasonH. Will check the battery at work tomorrow. Will post back with voltage. STO, already been to site KenT suggested. Good site but only listing one of the three codes I have. Scantools is very good, have a look
