Have a look at this - http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1152564750 - Its for overhall of the rear brakes but will give a good starter as regards at least the wheel end of the cable.

Oh the joy of the handbrake cable replacement!  ::)

Done a few now, and next time I will do a full maintenance guide.  :-[

Ok, This is based on it being a V6.

Spray lots of penetrating fluid (rust flash is brilliant if you can get it, if not, plus gas) around the small heatshield nuts under the car.
These are the heatshields for both centre sections of the exhaust.
Ideally start doing this a few days before you tackle the job as these are usually very rusty.

Release hadbrake so make car is secure!

Try to undo nuts. Be gentle, the less of these you shear (and you will) the better, come replacement of heat shield time.

With the heat shields removed you will see the handbrake mechanism.... behind the driveshaft!!
This needs to be removed. If you have ratchet spanners (10mm or 13m can't remember!), brilliant.
If you don't, get some as this nut takes an age to remove with a ratchet spanner (1/8 of a turn at a time) and with a normal ring spanner it would be a nightmare!

Once that is off then it is a case of follow the cable back, pop the plastic sheaths (there is 1 each side, obvious when you follw the cable) out of the the brackets holding them (prise these open gently)
Remember the route of the cable for refitting!

Finally you come to each end of the cable that clips into the handbrake mechanism on each wheel.
At this point, refer to Marks excellent guide on cleaning the rear brakes here: http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1152564750

Changing the cable without cleaning the brakes is really not wise....
