HID level sensor and ecu help
« on: 30 June 2007, 12:55:57 »

I have a 2000 Omega Elegance with HID headlights and is giving the low beam/headlight warning on the MID 20 seconds after I switch them on, I read on other pm’s about the level sensors and ecu locations but does anyone have pictures of them in situ, I cant find them and even if I did, I wouldn’t know what they look like. :exclamation :exclamation :exclamation

Also, are they the same sensors as the Vectra B’s fitted with HID’s:question :question :question

Possibly one of the sensors has popped off. Check left front wishbone and rear left trailing arm, and you should see them - has the link arm popped off (ball and socket type joint)

Take off your front n/s wheel, and the HID sensor is located in the middle of the lower wishbone, it looks like a little black box, with 2 small arms connected by little ball joints, I had very similar problems last weeek, check the sensor hasnt dropped off the box or isnt clogged up with muck, if its come off, clean it and clip it back in if it will, or use a strong rubber band to hold it in place as a temp fix till you can get another  :P
