remote key re-programming
« on: 20 July 2007, 10:10:27 »

So i bought a newish key fob from flea-bay thinking that by using the original chip from the old key fob and then re-programming it using the procedure outline in handbook all would be well. Doh. Do i really have to take it to Vaux garage for it to work? :'(

Yes, or an autolocksmith with correct equipment, or me if you weren't so far away!

You will also need a 'carpass'

Whats wrong with original, if just buttons etc, swap the insides over.

the problem is the inside where the battery holder is soldered to the board- its been fixed once by one of the forum members - I'll have another look.
