omega c/l locking modul

hi everyone.
having big problems with c/l i have exposed the modul and it is clicking madly but still not opening the doors,(i was locked out of my car hence the investigations)what i would like to know is if i replace this modul will i have to have it programmed in to my cars system

Hi harry,can you add some details to your profile eg, make ,model, engine size, :) and loc so we can help a bit more with your problem

my car is a 96 2.5 td auto estate

Is that the RF remote, or IR type? Likely to be RF, but could be right on back end of changeover period...

hi,problem not with remote, problem with(i think)the c/l-security modul which is located in drivers foot well.

Yes, but what type is it!

If RF, you cannot simply change.

with you now,i assume because the fob has two buttons that it is r/f bugger,what in practical terms does that mean

If you don't have a small dome by sunroof switch, then you're RF.

On RF systems, the system also has the immobiliser in it. On these systems, the engine ECU is coded to the immobiliser, so you need it all reprogrammed via Tech2.
