2.5 Diesel.

 >:(Smartys diesel still not well. Started & ran ok then lost power, black smoke & diesel knock. Now takes ages to start then surges badly. Also lost power feed to fuel pump but works when connected to jump pack. Smarty's well p****d off as he's already swapped the engine & it was ok.
      The lovely Mrs Smarty is going to produce little Smarty 3 anytime soon so despite previuos help could do with some more ideas please.
    He does'nt know i've left this post but they're gonna need this big estate more than ever, HELP!!!!! [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif]

It realy needs live data checking to see exactly whats happening but, I suspect MAF (known to fail on these)

Oddly, I can disconnect the MAF on mine (or rather forget to reconnect!) and it runs exactly the same as when unplugged. In fact I only noticed when I tech2ed it, and it flagged it up  :-[

no good guessing at it you need to read th codes, possibly coolant sensor, or MAF or stuck tps on the pump, but dont just change things willy nilly read the codes !!
