Wheel center key
« on: 02 August 2007, 18:57:12 »

Can anyone tell me if the key to remove the center cap on the wheels is a common key or are they per car  ;) I have two keys neither came with this car but they both fit even though the letters on them are different  :)

well i was told my VX that they were unique to the car and they tried to charge me £25 for a new one with new nuts saying i'd have to drill my old ones off

i took a chance on ebay and bought a key that came with nuts on the basis that i'd be able to sell them on if the key didnt fit mine, but hey presto it did fit

are they for your own omega wheels?

Yes they both fit my wheels so looks like it is just good luck they do  :) I had the tyres changed on the last omega just before it was written off  >:( and the trye place struggled to undo the centers and used long nose pliers on them  ;) I will keep hold of them both then in the car just in case  :y Thanks for the replies
