I suspect a blockage in the rad......also check the fuses in the ecu bix in the engine bay. Some of these operate the fans and in particular the two fans at the front of the car.

the two fans are coming on but a bit on the high side for me. how do you check the rad? ive drained and refilled the system let it heat up while squeesing the hoses but no joy could i have broke something fitting the bbv? the hoses are in the right places.i can see the water returning from the rad but not sure if there is is the right amount think ill go to halfords and get some more rad cleaner in saying that the water dond seem to bad.....thanks for the reply

I suspect a blockage in the rad too..  try flushing and reverse flushing the rad alone with a hose pipe...  I had the same problem after flushing.. it obviously losened the sh1te and bunged up the chanels... I doubt it's the stat...

Best of luck...  take the towing steady..
